Super Chumpy the Squirrel: Hubworld Demo
Tiny demo of a tiny project I've been working on. This is mostly to demonstrate the movement, animations, and visuals. Final game will likely be ~15 minutes long and feature 3 explorable levels. This is my first real Unity project so expect some rough edges. :0)
You are Chumpy the Squirrel.
CONTROLS:
[W][A][S][D] - Move
[L-SHIFT] - Run
[SPACE] - Jump (x3)
[F] - Inspect
[ENTER] - Pause
MOUSE or [I][J][K][L] - Rotate camera
Jump on enemies to defeat them!

Animations, music, models, and programming by me. Additional assets sourced from Screaming Brain Studios, halfhuman, Pixabay, and FreeSound. Shaders are PSX Retroshaders by dsoft20.

Got caught up in the animations and movement to the point that I forgot there wasn't actually progress to be made and its just a test so I guess that's a good flag that its going well! Great work so far Campa! 👏

I think this game can have some pontentioal! Although i have some few problems:
- Camera's pretty weird
- for some reason every time i start the game i have to finesse my controls into working.
- I don't really know where to go after getting the first gem because i think you get more gems in levels but the only level i have enough gems for is the under construction one so idk.
- Maybe for something that is interactable there's an [F] popup to tell the player that it is interactable.
But i really like the sprites and the models. And the song is a vibeee.
